About me
My life literally changed when a dear friend of mine introduced me to the self-titled Rage Against The Machine record back in the 90’s. While diggin’ deeper into that style of music, I started to collect records (back in those days it was those shiny silver 12cm discs that captured my attention) and envision myself working in the music industry. After doing internships at Indie & Major labels, as well as a merchandise company, I finished my studies getting my degree as Diplom-Medienwirtin in Media Management. Right at that time Century Media Records joined forces with the progressive rock & metal powerhouse InsideOutMusic and therefore needed help in the physical production and international sales departments. Being an independent record label, releasing records on a worldwide scale, with branch offices in multiple countries and a Major distributor backing them up, this seemed like the perfect company for me. So I signed the contract and found myself sitting in the German headquarters as Assistant Production and Sales Manager Europe in 2009. It quickly became apparent that the field of work I was most interested in was physical production. So, I started to talk to manufacturers and printers to get as many insights as possible on production processes, printing techniques and their limitations… eventually becoming the main contact for all European productions that both labels released. At that time I also fell in love with the pure and sublime sound that only a vinyl record has when you play it on your turntable and so I started collecting those, too. Years went by and in 2015 we became part of the Sony Music Entertainment label family and my job changed to Manager Supply Chain, Senior Product Manager Product Coordination. Being a Senior Label & Project Manager nowadays means that I'm in charge of setting release timings, administer all sorts of meta data and supervising physical production. Over the years I got the chance to coordinate the physical production of multi-format releases of artist like Dream Theater, Jethro Tull, Electric Callboy, Arch Enemy, Body Count and Devin Townsend. Having the opportunity to work with and for such talented artists and presenting their audio & visual visions as physical products is not only a job, it’s my passion.
