About me
As a former engineer of the renowned Dubplates & Mastering,
Frederic Stader has been mastering and cutting master lacquer disks since 2001.
He signs his mastercuts as “FST.”
In 2013 He founded his own lacquer cutting service MusicMattersMastering in London.
In 2015 he moved on to the esteemed Emil Berliner Studios as a Senior Mastering & Vinyl Cutting Engineer
Since 2018 He lectures the Vinyl Mastering Class at Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam.
In 2019 He joined Mount Analogue Masters.
He’s been working on nearly every lathe Neumann has build for lacquer cutting
(AM32b, VMS66, VMS70, VMS80) (Scully) cross-genre at several thousands records for artists including: Berliner Philharmoniker, Wiener Philharmoniker, Matthew Herbert, Ellen Allien, Modeselektor, BoyzNoize, Nils Frahm, Ben Frost, Midori Takada to name a few. and specialized himself in the art of Halfspeed cutting.
Currently he is consulting a Pressing plant in Brasil.
