Lloyd Starr is a dynamic and people-oriented leader with a long history of operating music companies serving passionate fan communities.
He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Discogs, the world’s largest online database and marketplace of recorded music serving record collectors, buyers, and sellers alike. In this capacity, he is responsible for the company’s overall growth, innovation, and ensuring the evolving platform continues to meet the needs of both existing and new users.
Previously, Lloyd was president and COO of the vinyl record subscription service Vinyl Me Please, as well as VP of Digital at Native Instruments. He started his career at the pioneering dance music digital music service Beatport, where after initially joining in a software development role, ultimately ascended to the position of President and COO.
In addition to his role at Discogs, Lloyd currently is a member of the Vinyl Alliance. He previously played a pivotal role in establishing the vinyl record manufacturing facility, and has advised entrepreneurs for over seven years as part of the Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network of Colorado.
Throughout his career, Lloyd has brought with him a passion for building and nurturing purpose-driven company cultures focused on vision, mission, and core values that benefit both employees and customers alike. Lloyd is based in Denver, CO where he lives with his wife and two children, and is an avid endurance runner and martial artist.
